Finally found a Colt 1860 Army (made by Pietta) in perfect condition and at a price I wanted to pay. Unfired, with box and all paperwork. No scratches, no dents, no dings, great trigger - $189.

I sure like mine but the older guns required some tune up to get the most out of them. I'm told the newer guns are made with much better tolerances and are good out of the box.
The metal seems good in all of them except for my early 1860 trigger. I had to make a replacement out of tool steel to get it to hold a full cock notch edge.

A very nice 1860 Army. I've got one that looks like yours and is a "hoot" to shoot. I didn't like the bluing so I took it apart and soaked the parts in vinegar. Now it is in the raw steel look and has developed a nice patina to match my 1873 Uberti Peace Maker. Love my .45's.
