Bob at Backwoods Tin does great work.
Took 9-10 weeks on backorder because they make them by hand.
Cant wait to get them in camp.
Already made two great pots of coffee this weekend to test em out.

These are too pretty to even toss into the camp box for sure.
They will probably get wrapped in some cloth and ride on top of every thing!

Those do look good. It'll almost be a shame to put them over an open fire.

Id also like to add. These cups are made by them insulated to keep drinks cold or hot.
Now its not RTIC cup but I will say that I filled it with ice and left the cup overnight with the life shut and the next morning there was some liquid with chinks of ice still.

Lord help me I can type on this little keyboard sometimes.
" not an RTIC cup" "with the lid shut" "with chunks of ice"

Yes I agree to this. Eventually it will comfortable enough to sit outdoors not in the shade.

So I ordered this insulated mug for keeping my icy beverages icy.
I have a good pottery guy that has made me some fine mugs for coffee and tea.

Tall Hat should be working on commission.

As the result of him posting his new wares, I had to order me a mug like his in copper. These mugs are insulated, with a stainless steel liner.

He had a couple mugs on hand and I did not have to wait 10 weeks, should get it Saturday if not Friday.

Now I just have to figure out what to tell my wife when she sees the CC bill. I think I will blame Tall Hat.

Got my new mug from backwoods tin on Friday. Been putting it through its paces. I am happy to tell you that it has worked well with iced tea, beer and water.

Like Tall Hat said, these are insulated mugs. The inside is SS.

He happened to have this one in stock, so no waiting.

I blamed Tall Hat when my wife asked about my new mug.....It is OK, she will likely never meet him!

It is hand made, and not perfect, but I like it and would recommend buying one.

Just tell her I helped you save on ice in the long run!
I don't know if you looked but there is a number scribed near the bottom below the handle. One of a kind.

I knew you said they were uniquely numbered, and I did look, but could not find one. I do see it now. Looks like #18.

I get free ice from the fire station, one of the perks. We have a ice making machine and the bags for 20 lbs of ice.

My son told me on Monday when he came home that he will have some nice mugs to sell when I die.

Well, I have never done that. If the coffee gets cool, I just add some hot coffee, or drink it cold.
