I just read on the "other" forum that Reeves Goering has passed on. There is hardly a builder out there that hasn't used, or been aware of his products. He was a kindly man, and displayed at Dixon's every year. His efforts did a lot for the ML'ing community, and he will be sorely missed.

Thank You. Reeves was a walking library and could always be counted on to make sure your buttplate, guard, and other fittings were consistent with the school you were attempting to replicate. I will surely be aware of his absence. Godspeed Old Friend.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Another great person in the 20th century rebirth of muzzle loading is gone

Visited with Reeves many times at Friendship. He had a wealth of knowledge. He will be missed.

Poor Reeves But he was old and had a good run. I still have some of his castings he certainly knew his mounts ..Don Getz yes a very likable fellow & I got on well with John. We all have our exits best we can do is 'soldier on'. Rudyard
