As we were discussing the contents of shot pouches in another thread, I thought I'd restart this topic since some of the old photos have gone away. This is my rifle rig I carry when out for a week end of shooting at the range. The pouch was made some twenty years ago by Ed Wilde, the horn by Yours Truly. The pouch is a double pouch. The front compartment contains .530 balls, the rest of the tools are in the rear compartment. Missing from the photo is a vent pick or priming wire. I carry spare flints in the rifle's patch box.

I know the range bag and much of what's in it isn't PC/HC, but i'm working on it as $ allows......a new bag is on its way as I type this......
not seen is the spring vise, spare frizzen and mainsprings and spare frizzen that I also carry.

:shocked2: that ALL fits in there? That’s what my bag looked like in the early years, I learned pretty quick that less is better. I do like your bag and gear though! :hatsoff:

fits in with lots of room left over......actually take up less than half my bag-space......

less is better, unless you operate long term on a rather have it & not need it principal.....this is my "long range" bag, not my day/overnite bag (which is a small horn with my knife, powder measure, single shot bullet block, and short starter attached to the horn-strap).

Organized and everything you need at the range. Think I have to do some house cleaning in my bag after looking at yours. One question? Between the priming horn and the tool pouch what is the object that is orange? Great job thanks again Art

That's my Opinel folding knife. Yeah, it's modern and doesn't belong to the 18th century. But man, what a sharp little knife.
