I just read that Beretta owns Uberti

Does anyone if that is true? I was on the DGWs site & read it on one of the review pages.

True, happened in 2000.

Beretta USA, Benelli, Franchi, SAKO, Stoeger, Tikka, Uberti, and the Burris Optics company.

Seems like similar situations have always existed in the gun industry. e.g. who now owns Winchester? I think it is a Japanese company. But really dunno.

The Herstal Group , a Belgium company, owns Winchester. Some of their products were (are still?) manufactured in Japan. It's been a globe trotting venture building them, NC, stints back in CT I think, Japan, South America, who knows. The company died in 64 as far as I'm concerned.

The Olin Corporation, an American company, owns the Winchester ammunition side.

To all who have read these posts from CC, I think his post are to entertain himself, usually just to stir the pot. I have sometimes wondered if he even owns a muzzleloader. I have seen him post with info one way once then later switch sides. When I figure out how to block his manure, I will. I am done wasting time trying to figure it out.
