It worked for me. Very interesting, but they did not test alox which I use to prevent rust and corrosion.

Interesting test....

The most interesting part was that the author chose to remain anonymous....

That tells me everything I need to know about the test.

The author of the article is DIY_guy.

That isn't any more anonymous than someone calling himself "Colorado Clyde" or, Zonie.

IMO, posting under a web name does not diminish or invalidate the results of his/her test.

The name is a pseudonym. Just like yours and mine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudonymity

I found the WD-40 Specialist at that trading post the original mountain men used. Walmart.
Actually, there are two types. One is a white lithium grease. The other is called "spray & stay GEL LUBRICATION no-drip formula". I bought a can, about $6.00. Will use later today or tomorrow.

That is not the same as "WD-40® Specialist™ Long-Term Corrosion Inhibitor" which was one of the top products in the test.

Interesting. I'll look for it.
But, this can I have also says "long term rust protection up to one year". Also says this was confirmed by an independent lab with salt spray and high humidity conditions.

I found the WD 40 Long Term Corrosion Inhibitor at Home Depot. It was 11.00 per can of 6.5 oz. Testing it right now. I have never had any problems with my muzzle loaders and rust.
