A Chunk Gun Medal winner and former sceptic contacted meyesterfayand said he had bought two samples of highly recommended fabric from a highly recommended recommender Both were .018 when measured with a micrometer the usual way we would use a micrometer if measuring sheet steel or piston rings.
However when taking a compresses measurement of the two fabrics, one shrank to ,011 and the other shrank to about .007.
You see the problem here.
If you were having dandy results with the fabric that shrank to .011 and ran out and you replaced it with a different .018 that shrank to about .007 you might wonder what happened as both fabrics were sold as .018 but for some trance reason your groups opened up alarmingly.
That's why I feel that the compressed measurement id the only one to go by.
I don't remember what the denim fabric I bought would have measured in an uncompressed method, but I believe, compressed it it shrank to about .00065 for my two ,45 Hawkens.
