Looks like we are having an early spring here. Lots of trees leafing out and flowers blooming. Is this unusual?

Same thing in Kentucky, a little earlier than average, but not much. It has been happening for about 10 days.

I was at the gym today and went over to stretch at the window. Noticed buds on the flowering trees outside. Then I drive home had to take a little detour do to some road work. In a farmers yard I saw the daffodils up in one yard.
At our house in arkansa I planted them in a pattern that said hello spring when they came up. They always showed about the first week in March.

I lived for thirty years in Arkansas but worked in Springfield Mo. That’s only on a line about sixty miles north but come spring and fall as I drove to work I could see that line of spring or fall as it moved.
Going down to Oklahoma in about a week or so and expect to see about two weeks worth of change.

Things seem to be blooming a little early here, maybe by a couple of weeks. It's a trap! After living in Virginia for about 40 years I've learned I cannot predict how the seasons will go.

I hope the orchards in the piedmont and Shenandoah Valley hold off so a late cold snap doesn't hurt the apple and peach crop.

Crocuses are just now coming up here in NE KS. Daffodils will soon follow, maybe by St. Pat's Day, if not then by Easter.

This morning I shoveled another four inches of Spring off of the sidewalk with the possibility
of some more Spring falling tonight!

A little more than a year ago I was driving through your state in a mega ice storm.
