Son in law is a newbie, started shooting (unmentionables) until I took him to shoot at a Ft Atkinson range. Here he is shooting his Lyman GP (perc) 50 cal at 25 yrds.
He really likes to beat his father in law, & good example of how he can. Photo is from a shoot in Jefferson Iowa last Summer. Range officer is the one viewing target.

That's why I don't push the Mrs. to try it
Have a good friend who taught his 100lb wife how to shoot and she beats the pants off him. She took woman's state two or three times. :rotf:
Flintlocklar

When I got married I got an eight year old step son. He was too small to hold my long guns but I taught him to shoot my CVA mountain pistol. The next year the little guy smoked us at the Silly-more rendezvous in Mountain View Arkansas. ( on the syllamore creek). As I recall around the fire there was talk about taking him on a snipe hunt.
