Before I go further...let me say I don't know if this type of post is permissible or not.

If not, please accept my apologies.

Anyway, I put out some feelers on the NOE forum for a Great Plains 54 cal clone. There's been virtually no interest, but they say the NOE forum isn't terribly popular with MLers.

I own several NOE mounds and they're all first rate. This is a link to the 50 cal Great Plains version: http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/produ...cts_id=2377&osCsid=v3fj62kq577o2so8u19irbocb6

I found out after the group buy and ended up with a 4-holer...I love it!

Here's the discussion on the 54 version:

If anyone is interested please pipe in...as I'd absolutely love to get my hands on one.

Your links won’t connect as these forums forbid off-site linking.

FWIW I use NOE molds for my 38-55 black powdah cartridge rifle boolits and they are indeed awesome molds. I also bought it via a ”˜group buy’ and would hope that could fly here ... less I won’t get one, as it is roundballs only for me in my MZL’r rifles.

Ah...thanks for the heads up!

Anyone that wants to find it can easily do so, so I won't worry about the links!

Yeah, I love my NOE molds!

Yes. Of course I did.

Unfortunately, my phone likes to correct words that are not broken.

I did a search and found the link to the NOE bullet mould for a .50 caliber gun.

Do a Google search for NOE Bullet Moulds and you can find it.
(Our Forum computer won't allow the real link to be posted in a topic like this one.)

$109-$139 seems like a lot of money to pay but that is just stingy old me talking.

I do notice the base of the bullet is sized at .492 so it can be started into the muzzle but the next land diameter starts at .110 (about 1/8") up from the base and the diameter is .506 meaning it must have .006 sheared off of it to enter the bore.

Likewise, the next land is .506 and the top land is .510.
Defiantly not something that can be easily loaded with just some thumb pressure. :rotf:

Not cheap, but I love the quality. I started casting with Lee moulds, and these are light years better. The cost is a bit higher for hollow base designs, as well.

I believe that NOE gives a 15% discount to Group Buy participants.
