The president of the CLA has been there the last few years. Always enjoy seeing his set up. Great venders seemed like more people in period dress than in past. I would recommend everyone that lives with in couple hours of Oshkosh WI to attend next year.

If you're referring to "Doc" Maxfield, he was stationed here at Fort Bragg back in the '70's.

He moved on to Wausau to set up homesteading, and one year, he sent me a photo of two bucks taken in northern WI, probably in the '80's, with his Brown Bess flintlock musket I sold him.

Hope maybe our paths will cross again. Lived near Madison from '55 till '69. Seems like there was a rendezvous there at Prairie Du Chien. I do remember attending "doin's" at Fort Atkinson, IA later on . Any of that still going on in IA & WI?

Yes,both places still have their annual Rondys. But both are getting smaller every year.We camp at Prairie every year for a full week.
