I just picked up a NIB accessory Thompson Center Renegade 1:66 round ball barrel. The barrel is 30" in length and it came with sights and ramrod. The serial number on the barrel is 4 digits.

Does anyone know what years these barrels were made?

I can tell you they made them up until the factory fire. I have one in 50cal and 54cal in the 1:66 left hand. I think I got the last left hand breech plug from Fox Ridge Outfitters which was TC's specialty shop and where you ordered extra barrels from. When I called to order the 54cal barrel they weren't sure they any left hand breech plugs left (after the fire). DANNY

I have round ball barrels in .45, 50 & 54 for my Renegade, and accessory barrels in .32, .36 & .58.
Got these barrels from the T/C custom shop known as Fox Ridge Outfitters. Sadly, they are no longer in business.

I chronographed some loads today with the 1:66 twist barrel, which is 4" longer than the 1:48 twist Renegade barrel. Average Velocity increased 47 fps with the same charge weights, same patches, same round balls and same caps. Accuracy was not quite as good with round balls with reduced charges in the 1:66 barrel, but I am still breaking in the barrel.
