Wanted to let the members know about this magazine. It contains a lot of information on our hobby with a lot of interesting articles. Some have included dying cloth from plants, including poison ivy, tin smithing, curing squash/ pumpkins and other foods by smoking etc. They also have historical articles on Mountain Men, homes and historical events. In the December issue I learned that there is a rendezvous in Homeland Florida in January! Worth reading. Art

I enjoy it as well. Of course since they did an article on Mrs Coot, I might be a tad prejudiced..

Thanks for mentioning the magazine. Just bought the Feb. issue and it has some good and interesting articles. I may subscribe. It will make good companion reading along with Muzzleloader magazine and Backwoodsman.

That's the issue, Feb. 2018. The article and photos about the trade blankets was excellent. I especially enjoyed the piece about recreating the spoon rack. I'm not good enough at chip carving to copy it in such detail but maybe some day.

It's a thoroughly enjoyable magazine.

Glad you enjoyed and yes it’s great reading. Check your local library and if they subscribe to it they should have all the back issues also. My local library does so there always a lot of great reading available. Art
