Flint double shotgun

I know we were all really interested last year when Pedersoli announced that they were going to have a double barreled flint shotgun sometime in 2017. Well it is almost the end of 2017 and there has not been any further word from them on when/if they are going to make it available, so I sent them an email inquiring. This is the reply I got:

Thank you for your inquiry.

We had to delay the project, now some of our distributors are interested in supporting us with the purchases and we can go on with the project

The forecast is during 2018, but it is too early to know exactly when.

Thanks for the update. I'll be interested to see what they come up with and what it costs.

Personally, I'd rather pay a little more and have a better quality product, so I hope they don't go cheap on it.

Like most Italian repros they wont be cheap and will need customizing like most .They are not an investment and if sold second hand will only fetch half of the original price
If you are hell bent on a sxs flint lock shotgun save your money and buy a good original English one which will not loose money and will give less trouble.
