I always grow the little "buggers", but besides salads, soup/stews or just munching on them alone, what other "goodies" can you make or ways to preserve them?
:idunno:

Sun-dried, tomato paste, sauce, salsa, other - I'd say, pretty much whatever you can make with larger tomatoes...

Now I haven't tried this...but, supposedly tomatoes like roma or in the case of cherry tomatoes...The grape tomatoes...or any tomato that clusters on a vine.....You can smoke them on the vine and they will keep for several months...Hung like a smoked ham...

Something I always wanted to try...

Or some sort of thin flat bread roll, sliced cherry., is grape tomatoes, fresh basil leafs ,aged mozzarella olive oil and malt or wine vinegar and you got a criprese rook up

We spread them out on a cake pan in the freezer. Once frozen solid, they go in a bin in the freezer. When you need tomatoes for soup or a sauce, just pull out a scoop full and throw them in the pot.

I roasted some of the Roma type cherry tomatoes in the oven with olive oil and put them in the freezer for later. Usually I make pasta salad with Penne pasta for warm pasta salad or Rotini pasta for cold.
