Enclosed are a couple of images of a D/B 6 bore which I used to use for geese .Although a heavy gun it did absorb the recoil I used a average load of 4.1/2 drms to 2 oz of number 3 shot .I have now retired this gun to my collection

That's quite a shotgun! I think that Great Britain has a better attitude about shotgun gauges than the U. S. does; a gun like that definitely should be hunted and not disallowed because it is larger than 10 gauge.
 
Ooooh! Look how fat that forend wood is to get under those tubes :)
You ought to take a photo of it next to a Rhinoceros so we get an idea of scale.
