Reare Husqvarna pistol made in Eskilstuna Sweden.
Mika, I have a pistol which I've been trying to identify for many years, and it is is amazingly similar to yours.

Mine is smoothbore, with a tapered and flared octagon to round barrel and a very unusual lock mechanism. Most info I've been able to gather about it seem to indicate a Spanish origin. Can you tell me anything about the history of your gun?

There is no one in Sweden who knows who made The gun that I have, But I will try to research a little, so maybe i get some answers.

Besides the Husqvarna company, the only other swedish gun I can think of is the blunderbuss the Swedish chief used to make the holes in the doughnuts.

That is a MUCH better looking pistol than most Swedish or Norwegian guns. Most of them are pretty clunky looking. The ugliest of them are the Kammerladers. There are some very nice ones in the Royal Armory in Gamlastan. I think many of those are of Italian origin though.
