Hello all wanted to tell you my son Paul, 39, passed away August 16, 2015. he was a martial artist and followed the Viking path. I introduced him to muzzleloading at age 12, and he later lived at Worcester, Mass., and did work for the FBI in computer related applications. He loved all types of firearms and outdoor activities, although he lived in urban areas. He died near Chicago, Illinois. Goodbye Paul, be brave in eternity, as you were in life. You will not be forgotten. Treestalker.

"Yea, tho' I walk in the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil"

May you find comfort in the strength of the love that you shared.

I will pray for you, tonight, (he needs no prayer),
and I will have a drink of single malt to honor the memory of your Son, Paul.

I am sorry to hear of your loss and pray for your comfort in this difficult time.

Im very sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I know your pain first hand. I lost my daughter on July 13th, 2013. She was only 28 years old. Its been two years now since she passed away. I know your pain. Some say it gets a little easier as time passes but there isn't a day when she isn't on my mind. May god bless you and your family and give you much needed comfort and strength. Respectfully, cowboys1062 (Ferrell)

Gentlemen, thank you for your kind words and thoughts. You have really helped the pain of loss, and made me feel like family. I know this is part of our mortal probation, and is only a temporary separation, but we greave for ourselves anyway. Paul had deep and dear friends all across the U.S., and over 80 people are already lined up to be at his funeral next month. One cannot ask for more than true friendship, which you ,this forum's members, exhibit in a manner uncommon in today's world. Good trails and my sincere thanks always, George.

Very sorry to hear your sad news, George.

I am reminded of the Dowson poem:

“They are not long, the weeping and the laughter,
Love and desire and hate:
I think they have no portion in us after
We pass the gate.

They are not long, the days of wine and roses:
Out of a misty dream
Our path emerges for a while, then closes
Within a dream”

Thanks guys. Colmoultrie, the poem you shared brought my wife to tears, we both thank you for your kindness. I'm grateful to have such friends as you and the other wonderful people on this forum. God bless us, every one. George.

I just read this. I am truly sorry for your loss. I wish there was something more to be said to ease your heart. Remember the good times, and hope for a brighter future. I am sure he is in good hands now.

Sorry for your loss Teestalker, as he followed the Viking path I'm sure Odin and Thor will greet him at the gates of Valhalla with a big tankard of Mead for him.

It breaks my heart to read of the loss of your son.

My son is 33, in a dangerous job and, like your son, deeply involved in martial arts. I can't bear the thought of his loss. So, your loss hits home.

Please accept my sincere condolences.
Ron
