Does anyone make this style hat in Blaze Orange so I can be legal in regular gun season yet still dress somewhat traditional.

I have not seen one like that yet. Do you have any aversion to a knitted toque or liberty cap in blaze orange? Plenty of those around.

You might be able to get some material and have a cover sewed to fit over that hat.

The liberty cap is ok I just like having a brimmed hat. I am surprised no one makes one with so many states requiring blaze orange.

Yeah I looked a few years ago for a brimmed hat more suitable for the flintlock than a baseball cap type. This was the only one I could find. It's a nice hat but made for summer really with small holes to let breath. Wind passes right through it. I remedied that by using a kni8tt cap over the top in real cold weather.

Swampy where did ya find that hat, I been looking for something like it for awhile now with no luck. It would be used in warmer weather so thats not a real concern. I like the style, got one simaler in camo I wear almost everyday. Unlike most I don't wear a ball cap everyday, but like a brimed hat fer some odd reason, maybe I just like to be different Ya all take care n thanks, YMHS Birdman

This gentleman makes wheel caps in hunter orange and several different colors, it would be more correct style not color looking than a ball cap or a fedora type hat.

I bought it here at Noggin's back in 2004. I looked quick and didn't see it there. Send them an email or call and ask about it.

I always wear a brimmed hat as well. I wear an orange boonie hat, was about the only thing I could find that wasn't a baseball cap. That's it in my avatar. Not really HC for any time but the '80s and up (that's 1980s and up ).

try this. I wear one and I really like it. i have the solid orange though. I don't really car for the liberty caps either unless it is really cold. This is the best I could come up with.

Ohh I like that one, I would need the solid orange though, the camo orange isn't legal here.

Blaze Orange Wool Felt Crusher Hat
Just do a search for "blaze orange wool crusher hat" on any search engine. You should be able to come up with several vendors and then select the one with the best price.

I'll pass on the Crusher hats, I like a brimmed hat. That one at Cabelas is the ticket for me.

Funny the way hat preferences work...I hate stetson-type hats; always manage to have the brush knock it off my noggin. Like the looks of them but they don't work for me while out busting through the willows. I do rather like them if I'm just wanting the shade or rain protection that they provide howsomever.

I actually wore a red crusher hat for years when we hunted Vermont. I'd just rather want a stiffer, better looking hat today.

Does anyone make blaze orange Indian Beads to make a hat band? In looking at my state regs the 250 Square inches has to be on the head, back and chest combined so with a blaze orange band it would meat the requirements if I got a blaze orange frock made.

I wear one of these. My ears get cold, and this cures the problem. Only mine is 100% wool.

I'm really thinking about buying one, for some reason I like The wheel caps. I sent them an E-mail requesting a picture of one in the hunter orange. Lets see if they get back with me.

I really like my cabelas hat. it's about 6 or 7 years old now and still doing good. I do think I'm going to order a new one though. The blaze orange is fading a good bit over the years so it's not so much blaze orange as kinda yellowish dull orange. That and it has shrunk a tad over the years . It's wool felt so that is kinda expected. Either that or my head got fatter like the rest of me.

Yeah I think at some point before the season I will order one for myself.
I kept the box the one I wear now came in and I place the hat in it for storage when I'm not using it. It only gets worn during hunting season. It's kept it's color quite well over the years by doing that. I just wish the hat it's self wasn't made of that synthetic nylon staw material with holes that allow the wind to pass through.
