The Track of the Wolf website seems to say that if you drill a 1/16 hole in their replicas they will fire. Any experience?

Those aren't "replicas" in the sense of "fake look-alike but doesn't shoot costume piece". I wouldn't pay $300 for a fake gun. They are importing the guns without touch holes drilled to facilitate border crossing/international BS laws. Without touch hols drilled they can't fire, hence they aren't 'real' guns....

The first CVA guns didn't have touch holes drilled. And came with shooting instructions.

Hear both good and bad about these guns India. I don't know if there are better manufacturers or they all come from a manure hole. When the Spanish and Italian guns first were imported there was a huge difference in quality between makers. Even in some lines from the same factory.

Oh, no! The dreaded India Debate shall rise again! :haha:

I have nothing against the India guns (have two myself), but you definitely want to go with someone like MVTCo or Loyalist for these. They both make sure the locks are decently finished, the breeches are good, and the frizzens are properly hardened. It's a crapshoot with the ones on Track. I did buy a percussion India pistol from Track several years ago, but I realize looking back that I got really lucky that it happened to be reasonably well put together and has worked well while I've had it. :hatsoff:
