A friend of mine is an accomplished gunsmith and hunter who, thanks to me  , has been bitten by the muzzleloader "bug".
He wants to build a 12 guage smoothbore in caplock. Primarily as a turkey gun but with with the option for roundballs.
Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

Only one that comes to mind off the top of my head is the Pedersoli double. Dixie has them, and I'm sure they're available from other sources. Single barrels? Dunno.

Any flint fowler should be also available as percussion. Most flint locks have a percussion counterpart to fit the same inlet and generally percussion locks are even a few dollars cheaper. Then you need only a nipple drum in place of the vent liner. It would be historically correct for the early percussion era when many original flintlock guns were converted to percussion.
