I remember watching it also. Was disappointed when it got canceled.

I participated in the Bicentennial of the Battle of Bennington. Found out a couple of years later that I had an ancestor who fought in the battle, American of course . Wish I had known about the ancestor at the time of the Bicentennial.

I was fortunate enough to find out that I had an ancestor who was mortally wounded at Cedar Creek in 1864 before I participated in the 125th anniversary reenactment. It made it extra special for me. I was also able several years later to find his grave. Different war of course, but still special.

I'm not sure if my GGGGG Grandfather did any actual fighting at Cowpens. His pension deposition is not clear on that, only that he guarded and escorted prisoners. Would be neat to find out if he got to draw trigger.

I susprect that the level that most aspire to is pretty close to much of what hollywood has shown us over the years, nothing wrong with this as long as it is understood for what it is and not attempted to be twisted into real history.

Now I remember the 1959 Disney series "The Swamp Fox". It was 8 episodes. That was when Disney was good.

I loved that show as a kid I even had a swamp fox coloring book and lunch pail :haha:

You guys do know you can go to "You Tube" and watch the episodes of Swamp Fox....don't you?
