American Civil War, that is. There seems to be a wide variety of cartridge boxes available for purchase. They range in price from $45 to $200. What are the features that make the difference in quality of the reproduction? Are there vendors whose products are considered substantially better than others?
 
Some of the cheaper ones are imports from Pakistan or India made out of thinner grades of leather and inferior stitching.The best ones are expensive,generally being bench made to original specifications as to weight and type of leather and stitching.
 
Yes, I suspected that the inexpensive boxes were made in South Asia someplace. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
 
I heard good things about Missouri Boot from my nephew as well. Thanks for the suggestion.
