Are there any tutorials out there for inletting octagon to round pistol barrels with wedding bands? First time inletting one of those babies and am intimidated by it.
 
Just like inletting an octagon barrel, only you do the front part round. Ignore the wedding band, you don't need to inlet a barrel with that kind of detail.

And if you look at the bottom of an original you usually do not see the "wedding band" at all.
 
Mike, thanks. That is what I was hoping to hear and from a real good gun maker. This pistol will be stocked in walnut. This is also a first for me. Any difference than stocking in curly maple?
