I was helping my father clean out his garage and we found this powder. He doesn't remember purchasing it but he probably has had it since the early 80's.

Anyone ever use this? The powder still looks good.

A link found on the web has a post which indicates that Nobel's Explosive Company Ltd existed in 1871-1918 and a Nobel's Industries Ltd existed in 1916-1926.

Further dialog seems to indicate that Nobel (made?) Meteor at their Ardeer, Scotland into the 1970's and packaged it in an orange can calling it Meteor.
The plastic lid indicates it was made fairly reciently so I don't know how it fits into the Nobel's Explosive Ltd story.

Whatever you do with the powder, DON'T throw that can away. Might be valuable. Collectors buy that stuff.

I have a can of 1fg in an identical style red can and plastic cap. The label pasted to it says Hogden. I have had it since about 1982.

I bought Meteor in the 70's with that plastic top.
Can was labeled Meteor in paint, and the cap was in the center of the can, PIA!
