Remember that Cimarron is just a wholesaler. All their guns are Uberti pistols with their name stamped on the barrel. You can do as well ro better somewhere else. Good luck.

Hi Wes-

Cimarron is supposed to sell cream of the crop Uberti guns. Check out this quote from an email I got as a replyo a question I had.

At Cimarron we pay Uberti extra for better finish, fit and authenticity, anw we have the proof marks hidden so they will not take away from the authentic appearance of the gun. Yes it is true that at Cimarron we hand check every gun we ship for fit finish and workability!

Thanks, Rich Karas

The action has been cycled(You see the fine line on the cylinder)but the pistol appears to be in very fine condition indeed!I don't think it's cool that he raised the price. You may want to purchase from that shop if the price is comparable as you may have some recourse if a problem should arise with the Dragoon. That is a fine looking revolver that Clint would be proud to own!

So, what's wrong with making him an offer - nothing ventured, nothing gained, or some such homily.

Offer him [(325-250)/2]+250=287.5. Still a good deal for you, and after all, it is a used gun so you can always get the Texas Jack's gun, which is new, for his price. One time offer, then buy the gun from Texas Jack if he demurs.

Today I ordered a Cimarron Whitneyville Dragoon from Arms2Armor. Thanks for all the help guys. Can't wait to get it.

Be sure to let us know how that new fangled loading lever latch works.
That was Colt's first attempt to fix the problem with the Walkers.
zonie :)

Oh, my. Want pics of the real thing when it arrives. If it's as nice as that....

I live in San Antonio TX, so I've been to Fredericksburg many times. However, I did not know until recently that Cimarron was in Fredericksburg and Texas Jacks also is in Fred.

I may drive up there on one of my days off in Nov. and check out both places. Is cimarron open to the public, ie: a retail establishment?

If you made an offer to purchase and he hiked the price, well, that's is illegal in most civilised countries.

Just make sure to tell all your friends, eh?

Well...the gun has been shipped, but I was not home to sign for it yesterday. :cursing:

May have to pick it up this weekend at UPS if I cannot get home today in time for delivery.
