My cannon barrel should be finished by next week. All and all the materials and the turning, beadblasting and boring costs me just over $100. Its made of EN19 steel (similiar to 4140) and will sport a 639mm long barrel (from cascabel to muzzleface) with a 20mm bore drilled about 500mm deep.

I followed all your advice and ordered "the more complete cannoneer" from DGW this morning along with a copy of an original blueprint for a 6pndr light field gun. Now I can begin with the under carriage...

Will do MB. I feel like a little boy on Christmas morning... Cant wait for the piece of steel to finally arrive. I am greatly looking forward to starting with the undercarriage. I wont be making the wheels myself though. Called in the help of a professional wagon restorer to make me a set of two with 12 spokes each. He said he will give me a price later today or tommorrow.
