"A History of The Colt Revolver and the Other Arms Made by Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company from 1836 to 1940"
I realize that goes quite a bit later than you are looking for but I'm sure it has plenty of the info you want. I know I'd like to have that!
