mmmm .. I do make foolish mistakes. Hunting with my wife. We spotted a four point buck about 50 yards away, standing in shadows. Fragrant Flower took the shot but, because of shadows ;) , failed to pull the front sight down into the back sight. She shot over his back with her .44 Kentuckian. I whispered repeatedly "shoot again". After about three repeats I noticed her looking at me with a disdainful grin. It never dawned on me to shoot until the little rascal had decided to run into deep forest. I remember that look … ugh! Polecat
