Selling my English rifle. The heart of her is a .50 caliber tapered Getz barrel, 1” in 48” barrel. It has a Chambers Gunmaker’s Lock built to replicate a Manton mid 19th century lock. This is by far the fastest, most reliable flint lock I have ever owned. Combined with the Getz barrel and an exceptional trigger, I was capable of 1” three shot groups at 50 yards with patched round ball and 1-1/2” groups with Lee 320 grain R.E.A.L. Bullets. It has a walnut stock with 13-1/2”
LOP but has a limbsaver recoil pad installed making for a LOP 14”. I installed a Redfield target aperture rear sight and a gold bead post front sight. This was to compensate for my failing 64 year old eyes. I do have the original traditional style sights and will include them. A Lee 320 grain R.E.A.L. Mold will be included as well. I’m asking $1250.00 for this rifle. The price includes shipping to the lower 48. Please no over seas sales.

Some additional pictures. This has been hunted with lightly. Colorado has ruled .54 caliber minimum for round ball when hunting elk. Though this one shoots a conical well I prefer to hunt with round ball and will use my .62. That’s the reason for selling.

Just one more pic. I shot this at 50 yards using the Lee 320 grain REAL conical over 90 grains of FF.

Still for sale. I’d like to bring this up again. She’s a fine rifle and deserves a good home. I’ll stick to the $1000
Price, which is less than I have invested. I want to finance a new project but I would be open to the right trade. Thank you!

Gorgeous rifle! I'm not in the market now for any new-to-me firearms but if I was.....

Good luck with your sale.

Hmmmm....thinking on it....

Bore condition?

What's the trigger pull like?
Is it a two-stage trigger?
What is the pull like?

The barrel is a custom Getz with a pristine bore. I’ll try to get a picture to send you. I’ve never measured the trigger pull on it. It is a single trigger not double set but it is smooth and crisp. Perfect for a hunting rifle.
