Those are perfectly legit boxlock select-fire screwbarrel pocket pistols; I have several like them in my collection, and they are fun to shoot. As you can see, the powder chamber limits the load to about 10gr, and they generally shot a ball a bit bigger than the bore so pressure could build up and make the shot more effective than the short barrel would otherwise allow They were always unrifled, and he star-shape of muzzles was cut so a square plug-key could be inserted for unscrewing them.
