Hello everybody. I'm very excited to be able to join this forum and learn more about the firearms used in centuries past.

A little bit about me; I hail from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, however at the moment I am a student elsewhere.
For some time I have been interested in pretty much everything about the late 17th century and early 18th century, particularly the music. However, this paired with my love of the outdoors and firearms is what led me here.
I am interested in learning about the firearms of this era as I save up for one (a work in progress, not much income as a student). I am also looking into the clothes of this time period and 18th century wilderness living. So, I live in the U. P. and I am interested in firearms and period accurate wilderness living, however due to my vegetarianism and love of critters I do not hunt. Somewhat ironic I know but that's me for you.

Anyways, that's about it. I'm looking forward to exploring the forums and asking questions. Thanks you for having me!

Hello Roy, welcome aboard! Many of us appreciate the pre-flintlock and flintlock eras, and who says you have to hunt to enjoy muzzleloaders? Just dig in and gather what you need, and share what you can; we are a diverse group for sure, and there is a vast quantity of experience and knowledge here, worldwide. Just fit in where you feel right. You'll find lots of friends in this awesome group of Dark Side children, Treestalker. :hatsoff:

Roy, you bring fresh perspectives to the forum. Welcome. And remember, should you at some point chance to harvest game with your period gun, you can always find someone else who craves that protein and who would appreciate the gift.
