Even though this movie take place in "1870" it seems to be pretty accurate on the weapons used..The movie itself is not the greatest but they got the guns right, for the most part..Called "Dead Man's Burden"
 
I certainly don't know how historically accurate it is, but my College Anthropology Prof in any course even remotely touching on Plains Indian Culture, required the students watch "A Man Called Horse"
 
Just watched that movie not bad. Then watched a movie in the like list called cowboy and Indians perhaps one of the worst westerns I have ever seen. Not even a B grade LOL what a waste of an hour.
 
Just spent a bunch of time try to find the worst western on Netflix WOW there are some really bad ones can not decide which one is the worst LOl
