I am new to muzzle loading and black powder but not to forums. I bought my first BP pistol last night at the pawn shop for $100 it's a Pietta 1851 Navy .36 cal revolver. I read up a little about it and one of the markings is hard to read but I believe it sais CB which makes it a 2007.

I am a family man who always does everything for the family and like to be out doors. I have taught myself many things over the years and do not claim to be the master or any and am always learning more and willing to help others with what I know. I took up reloading a about 18 months ago and have since reloaded and shot over 2500 rounds of various calibers and I look at black powder with a similar respect as to safety and precision. I hope to read up and find out as much as I can about this stuff and eventually get into hunting, if nothing else it adds another season I can get a deer for :p .
