Hello,

I just found this site after years(off and on)of trying to research this pistol. The only markings on the plate that I can make out are "Ternois", "ANA", and "Roch---e". Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
David

Any Chance of some close ups of the Lock and the butt of the pistol. Very nice looking piece...

Hi,
The lock probably says "Ternois a La Rochelle" meaning Ternois (gunmaker) made in La Rochelle. It is French probably from the early 18th century, maybe a little earlier.
