I received two new holsters for my 1851 Navy revolvers the other day and I wanted to post the pics. Here are some photobucket links:

They were made by Swampy and I love them. Great job, Swampy! Now I have to get a belt and go show them off.

May it be blessed,
Todd

Great looking holsters! Swampy is The Man where leather work is involved!

I can tell you're excited. In that first pic you look just like a kid at Christmas. :haha:

Glad they got there in one piece and your happy with them. Need a pic of you wearin both like ole Wild Bill. :haha:

Well today is my birthday so the holsters are formally my present to myself. The kid with the holsters in the photo is one of my posse.

I have a nice belt on the Christmas list. Can't wait to get the whole kit together. While I might not survive the zombie apocalypse with this kit, I will certainly look very cool before I check out.

Swampy did a great. He's great to work with.

May it be blessed.

Todd

Great holsters by Swampy. My Christmas present to myself was a Pietta Colt Navy 1851 revolver (Cabela's had them on sale), so I am getting started on a holster/belt combo I will be making myself.

Swampy, if you have any pointers/suggestions to offer, they will gladly be accepted.

I'd be happy to help in anyway Deano. I could send ya pattern if ya want thats tailored to that pistol, I made here.

Thanks for the pattern offer, but I am going to make my first attempt, as a cross-draw, with a Will Ghromley, Forty-Niner pattern I picked up from The Possibles Shop. I have already cut the pattern out of artist board, cut out the leather and am getting ready to do the carving. The pattern set has an "early incised floral pattern that only uses a swivel knife", according to Will. At some point in the future, I may make a second rig and would appreciate your pattern to do that one. Thanks!
:hatsoff: :hatsoff:
