I posted this on another site and wanted to see if any of our members here have, or have seen, these little cannons. I bought this one in the early 60's. The manufacturer also produced a scale model of the Parrot rifle.

The tube is brass and approximately .40 caliber. Said to be capable of firing blanks. I've never touched it off. The carriage is cast iron. The accessories are detachable and the elevation screw is functional.

Is the tube bronze or steel? I have one similar, with a steel barrel, in .36 caliber. It's every bit as accurate as you would expect, capable of hitting an upright shoebox every time at a range of 4 to 5 feet.

Tube is brass. I've never fired it, thinking the cast iron carriage wouldn't be up to the stresses.
