So I was cleaning my Reading I had commisioned a few years ago and saw a crack giving way to a small part of the stock splitting away near the middle ramrod pipe on the outside of the channel. I want to fix it quickly so it doesn't snag on anything and make for an ugly deep split. The stock is beautifully crafted premium tiger striped maple that was finished in aqua fortis stain. Any ideas?

Thanks............

While not PC I have found the thinner super glues are great for small cracks. Polyurathane (gorila) glues work well for larger cracks.

Hopefully this will come through to show the picture.

Super glue works goos for small cracks like that . Put a little on crack , pinch it down quick with a popsickle stick and wipe with damp cloth.Quick and permenant
