That's a gorgeous rifle, period.
Very dependable ignition also! I've been shooting for two days now and had only one FITP! And the humidity has been way high to aid that possibility!
very nice, i always liked the look of the hawken. the movie Jeramiah Johnson did a lot to get them going in modern times,,,,,,,,,,,,,

This is the 5th or 6th time I have clicked this thread to see if that rifle was really as nice as I thought it was and it always is. I like Hawkens anyway but yours is really sharp looking. The fact that it is a flint makes it look even better.

Beautiful rifle. While I'm shooting eastern style flinters now, my Hawken will remain with me. Like many others here, there is just something about a Hawken that draws me to them.

Yes sir...he did! Tom's a mans man.....great to deal with! Old school like me. Bought three or four of his rifles and once a price was agreed upon verbally...it was a done deal! Tom would ship prior to my personal check arriving; very prompt and I really enjoyed dealing with him! Lost his wife a while back but he told me he's doing OK!
