One question, though. Did you have to do anything special with regard to adjusting or tuning the Lott lock? I have heard mixed reviews on these, as they come from the factory.

Yes I had the Lott lock siting around and new it was big and would be difficult to balance out ! Thanks
 
I have a Lott lock on what could best be described as a 1970 West (St. Louis) County Special Smoothbore. For all of its other peculiarities the builder did know how to make that Lott lock throw sparks.
 
I built this pistol after going to a Roundevou that had a dual competition , after watching for an hour a Kitted our Scotsman came over and handed me his pistol and loading accoutrements.
I and the other guy both missed ( a sleet on pole )
After back to back ten paces , it was adrenaline since I was unfamiliar with his kit. So I thought I’ll build a pistol big enough for wind to break the skeet
