Friend had one and it was ok with standard loads, but the rather thin stock dug into his shoulder. He liked it ok though, murdered lots of squirrels and such. CVA is what they is though, and I wouldn't give too much, but I would get it if the bores & everything were good. George.

I have one that I had to rebuild but it was put together from a kit by a guy who didn't know what he was doing.

They don't have a butt plate. Just a bare wood surface so I bought a cast steel checkered one from TOTW to correct that issue.

There was also a problem with the triggers releasing the left lock but I found that the sear arms were hitting one another. A little work with a file corrected this.

Here's a link to a bit more about my CVA Double

I don't own one (My 12SxS is a Pietta), but one of my buds has had one for years, and I've been around it lots. Never a mechanical issue with it. But he can't hit a barn if he's standing inside it. Of course, he shoots his modern shotgun the same way! :rotf:

I've never in my life seen a worse shot with a shotgun. His brother shoots the CVA so well that he's been trying to talk my bud out of it for 20 years with no luck. Brothers!

Got a Navy Arms that was on consignment in an Alabama bait shop about the time Waco happened. No difference from from the CVA.
Goes boom and throws clouds of shot.
Would seriously like to go after hog with round ball in the short set of barrels.
Might go after moles if they don't lighten up. :haha:
