Review Listing Guidelines
When
listing a product or service to be reviewed, your listing should contain
the facts of the product or service, along with any photos, but be free
of commentary. Your listing should
not be your review.
Once you've posted your listing,
you may go back and review the product yourself. It's a two step process.
See this listing as an example - (Just the facts, with no commentary). Example
Custom Builders
Custom builders should be listed only once, not for each product they
have produced. In this case we are reviewing the overall "quality
and service" of the maker, not each individual piece. The
reason for this is simple - the person who purchased that particular
piece is the only one who has any experience with it, so others cannot
add a review. It would be the same with custom knives, shooting bags,
clothing, etc.
Retailers
Retailers should be listed only once as well. Example would be Cabelas
or Track of the Wolf. They are listed once, as a vendor, but we don't
create a new listing for that company for each product they offer.
Manufacturers
In the case of manufactures, like Thompson Center, Navy, CVA, etc. each
of their products can be listed separately, as those items stand on
their own in terms of performance and function.
