I was
born in San Diego, California in 1946. I currently live in Cardiff-by-the-Sea,
(just north of San Diego) with my wife, Jeannette and our two children,
Kyle and Marisa. Over the years I've worked in the outdoor industry
both in retail and as the operator of an outfitter service that took
clients canoeing, rock climbing and backpacking. I own a map publishing
business and also do computer consulting and web design.

I was born in 1959 and have lived in the same geographic area since
- near Binghamton, NY. I am a lifelong lover of the water, fishing,
and own a 34 foot sailboat on Lake Ontario. We also have a 17 ft sailing
sharpie that can be rowed or motored for the little waters near home.
My first muzzleloader was a .36 T/C Seneca percussion I purchased in
1976, followed soon by a .54 T/C Renegade.
A graduate of Binghamton
University with a B.S. in Organizational Behavior, as well as associate
degrees in accounting and business administration. Started out in
chemical engineering after high school but took a Greyhound bus to
California with this cute little number I met in the college avaition
club instead of returning for the second year. Returned home and
swapped majors, but kept the girl. We were married a week after I
graduated. I started out as a purchaser for a metal foundry but somehow
got sucked into accounting and now am manager of accounting/finance
at a small wood & metal console/process control furniture manufacturer.
I didn't start hunting in earnest until after I became married (in
1980 ~ just celebrated our 25th last Spring!) and in the fall of 2005
harvested deer numbers 33 and 34. I've taken bucks with rifle, shotgun,
cedar arrows from a recurve, and muzzleloaders (smooth and rifled).
I have found a pleasure in flintlocks; my most recent two being a
Kit Ravenshear 1759 L.I. fusil and a John Donelson Lehigh/Northampton
rifle. Still a pilgrim in reenactment, I never lost my love for hiking,
backpacking and camping from Boy Scouts and am transitioning that into
trekking. I build and fly radio-controlled aeroplanes as a hobby. Muzzleloading
is a lifestyle.

I was born in Glens Falls, New York in 1970. My parents were
both from Vermont. We raised and showed horses until about 1980. I
was raised doing hard work and loving the outdoors. We spent all of
our free time fishing or hunting. My father purchased 60 acres of prime
land that was a haven for the young sportsman. There was plentiful
game both small and big for me to learn how to hunt. I joined the Air
Force in 1989 and it has been my career since. I work in telecommunications.
I have had the oportunity to hunt and fish in Florida, Alaska, Texas,
and Ohio. I have also been assigned to Korea and most recently Iraq.
I met my
wonderful wife in Texas and we have three great boys together ages seven,
five and two. I can't honestly tell you why I bought my first muzzleloader.
I think the challenge of something new cought my attention. I bought
an inline...argh! but since then have switched to traditional styled
percussion and flintlock. All of my muzzleloaders are Lyman's except
of course the inline which is now a dust collector.
I heard
of this great forum while surfing the old CVA forum and I made the switch
and have never looked back. I am now moderator of the General Muzzleloading
forum and I hope I can make a valuable contribution to this fine site.
