Thanks, it took a couple tries to get it grouped.
Nice group Quin, but looks like two of the shots are out of the 10 ring and into the shell. Hits in the shell but outside the black 10 ring score 5 pts

Shot the snail yesterday with my.32 SMR. Benched it because I was tired. 20 gr 3f with .310 ball, cotton drill lubed with Ballistol/water mix over a felt wad soaked in olive oil. Put 3 shots in a tight group and drooped a little on the last 2 shots for 40 points

Years ago, a friend from over on the coast called me, and invited me to a shoot. She said to bring a good slug gun. I figured she meant a bench rifle. I didn't have one, so just took a random rifle from the safe, and flew into Seatac to be picked up.
It turned out the slug shoot consisted of riding around on golf carts in the old growth timber on their property, and shooting the Boone and Crockett size slugs there. Loads of fun, but skinning them and finding a taxidermist was a problem.
We were tearing up the meat too bad to eat them, so had to settle for buckets full of oysters from another friends oyster beds. The kids would put the oysters on the grill for us, and when they popped open, we would slurp them down. We ate so many, we didn't dare burp. We were plum full!
